An innovation scene in the heart of Yaoundé
On March 21, 2024, Kiriakides Park was transformed into a veritable open-air laboratory. In front of a curious and admiring audience, more than 100 girls from 9 primary schools took on thrilling scientific challenges.
Homemade elevators, vehicles on wheels, hand-crafted conveyor belts... Each prototype has proved one thing: the next generation is assured, and it's ingenious.
Concrete challenges, brilliant solutionsBeyond the scale models, the participants have mobilized concrete skills:

A real training ground for the professions of tomorrow. And a clear demonstration that girls too can build, invent and innovate.
A lasting impact
Since 2022, Girlsday237 has gone from strength to strength. To date, over 500 girls have been introduced to STEM through our competitions. Each edition paves the way for more curiosity, more confidence, and above all more dreams made possible.
