The 4ᵉ edition of STEM for Her marked a new stage in Girlsday237's commitment. Once again this year, the event was driven by a structured approach, focused on progressive learning and support for participants.
A strong theme: health at the heart of educational robotics
For this edition, the chosen theme was Educational robotics applied to the field of healthcare. This choice allowed us to connect STEM to concrete issues that are close to everyday life.
The projects were thus built around real-world problems, making learning more engaging and useful in the eyes of the participants.
A tried and tested method
From its inception, Girlsday237 has adopted a proactive approach. Projects are submitted to the students one month before the competition, to enable them to work progressively with their supervisors.
This method allows :
- a better understanding of the topics,
- deeper learning,
- and greater involvement on the part of participants.
Over the years, this approach has proved its effectiveness in fostering confidence, autonomy and quality in the projects presented.
A successful final in Yaoundé
The grand finale was held on March 27, 2026 in Yaoundé, at Parc Kyriakidès.
The event went off without a hitch, with committed participants and high-quality projects. The atmosphere was studious, friendly and inspiring.
The teams showed creativity, rigor, and teamwork, confirming the potential of young girls when they are well supported.
Committed partners for lasting impact
This edition was also made possible thanks to the support of several sponsors. Their commitment helped strengthen the organization of the event and enhance the experience of participants.
These partnerships play a key role in the development of girls' STEM education initiatives.
Confirmed momentum
This 4ᵉ edition confirms an essential reality: when girls are exposed to STEM in a structured, caring environment, they fully engage and reveal their potential.
Each edition thus becomes a further step towards a clear objective:
👉 making STEM accessible to all
👉 boosting young girls' confidence
👉 and build sustainable future prospects
Girlsday237 will continue to take action to reach even more schools, support more girls and build, step by step, a future where STEM is accessible to all.
